hey guys! just want to thank everyone on here for all the help i've received!
PAT 19 (62.7%) 😀
QR 19 (83.5%) 😡
RC 21 (77.1%)
Bio 24 (99.1%) 😀
GC 24 (96.1%) 😀
OC 22 (88.7%)
TS 23 (97.5%)
AA 22 (95.7%) 😍
I'm shocked! I was NOT expecting to get these scores. Prometric called me and said I could come in early, so I went 3 hours earlier than scheduled because I just wanted to get it over with. I was so nervous I was shaking throughout the entire exam. I managed to finish my sciences with 45 minutes left, with almost every other question marked. I spent 5 minutes trying to calm myself down and went back and checked my answers twice. I was convinced I was doing terrible so I pretty much gave up on PAT, my head was hurting and my stomach was aching so bad. I'm surprised I managed a 19! The woman at the testing site took so long to check me out during my break, I had about 5 minutes to eat, not even enough time to use the bathroom! For the rest of the exam I was convinced I had to retake it! You can imagine my shock when these score popped up on the screen! I was so bewildered it took me a while to process haha.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that if you put in hard work and dedication you can get at least a 22! I spent 2 months studying, about 10-12 hours/day. I would take a day off every couple of days.
PAT (19) - I'm not gonna lie, I had an extremely difficult time grasping the PAT. My CDP scores were extremely low. I dont know why but I just could not successfully do angles. It's so strange because starting out, I was best at angles! I tried almost every suggested method: hill technique, laptop, pie, etc. I just could not grasp it! I focused on strengthening the other sections to make up for angles. Barron's helped me out a lot on this section! I suggest everyone to hit up B&N and spend an hour or so just reading the PAT section. What helped me with keyhole is to picture how the object looks from the sides, top, and bottom and then choosing an answer that is most similar to what you imagined. TFE ended up being one of my strongest sections.I never learned the line technique or whatever. I think the best way to grasp it is to do a lot of problems then the whole thing becomes second nature. Sama951's thread helped me a lot. For hole punches I used the grid method. For cubes instead of tally marking, I just wrote the number of sides and counted when asked for a specific number. I found this to be easier. Pattern folding was another one of my stronger sections, I just did a lot of practice. This section on the exam was no different than CDP in my opinion, TFE and hole punching might have been a little more difficult, it was definitely easier than Achiever.

QR (19) - CDP
I'm shocked I scored so low. It might have been because I gave up and thought I had to retake the test anyways. I used datQvault, which helped a lot. It also helps to browse though a PreCalculus book and skim over the trig sections. I also used a statistics book for probability and p-values. I guess I should've bought Math Destroyer...
Qvault: 21,18, 20, 22, 23, 20, 22
RC (21) - CDP, Qvault
I numbered my paper 1-50 and went through all the questions and wrote down keywords and answered them as I read through the passage. The passages I got were easy reads, the first was about some chem technique, the second about hurricanes, and the third about h.pylori.
Qvault: 22, 20, 21
CDR: 19, 18
Bio (24) - Qvault, Destroyer, Exam Krackers, Cliff's, Barron's, KBB
I have no idea how I got a 24! I am AWFUL at bio. I never got above a 20 on any practice test. I had about 10-15 marked in this section! I thought it was harder than anything I've done... maybe I'm wrong. I had about 2 photosynthesis questions, a few ecology questions, and the rest is a blur lol. Anyways for this, I read through Cliff's, Baron's KBB, and Exam Krackers. I went over Destroyer everyday for the past 3 days. A month ago I wrote out all the questions and explanations because it helped me memorize and I was sick of flipping back and forth lol. I also ended up making flash cards from destroyer on Anki. I also used Hippocampus Biology. I watched these videos before bed every night. I also watched the Handwritten tutorials for the Kidney, Nervous, and Immune Systems. I highly recommend using Qvault! I went through all the questions twice, I feel like it helped a lot.

Qvault: 19, 18, 22, 15, 16, 17, 18, 18, 18, 17
GC (24) - Chad's, Destroyer
All you need for this section is Chad's and then Destroyer. I watched Chad's twice, taking notes both times. I did Destroyer afterwards getting most wrong lol. I did Destroyer 4X and made notecards of the ones I got wrong. I feel like these two are the only sources you need. I was kind of bad at equilibrium problems so I found a website that had similar problems and did a few.

Qvault: 17, 17, 17, 18, 18, 18, 19, 20, 20, 24
OC (22)- Chad's, Destroyer
Same as GC. When I first started Destroyer, I was scared to do OC. I was never too great at OC and I would get so many wrong! I wrote all the reactions from the road maps on flash cards and went through them frequently. By exam time, I knew all the reactions by heart.
Qvault: 15, 18, 21, 24, 19, 16, 18, 17, 22, 19
ANKI is a great source, utilize it.
Alan's Bio Notes is awesome, I wrote all these terms out and added to most of the cards. I went through these every few days to keep all the terms fresh in my mind.
Barron's AP Bio Flash Cards: I went through these a few times, they were a nice supplement to Alan's but this is basically the AP Barron's book deconstructed.
MCAT Audio Osmosi: I listened to these before bed sometimes. They were nice. The jokes are corny but they help you remember things. I found an entire playlist of these online on http://grooveshark.com/#!/artist/Exam+Krackers/1723527/songs
Achiever: I never scores above a 16 on any of the 4 tests. I only did the science portion of the 5th test and it was a blood bath. The highest I got on it was an 18 on bio. DO NOT take these scores to heart, it just prepares you for the worst case scenario.
Topscore: I liked topscore, it was very representative. The sciences are harder! The rest of the exam is on par (yes, incl PAT).
CDP: 16, 16, 17, 18, 17, 18, 18, 19, 18, 20 (I know, I suck)
Topscore: PAT/Bio/GC/OC/RC/Math
1) X/20/17/18/X/X
2) 20/20/17/25/20/18
3) 19/18/23/20/18/21
Advice:
1) STAY CALM- I could not get myself to stay calm. I was shaking, my head was aching, my stomach was churning, it was AWFUL. I feel like I could've done better if I wasn't so nervous.
2) Stay dedicated, studying for the DAT requires a temporary lifestyle change. I think this is the biggest factor into how you do. I have friends who are taking the DAT for the 3rd time because they cant commit to staying off Facebook or Twitter for a few weeks. I removed all distractions and studied, which paid off. .
3) Always review. Don't put aside the sections you are strong at for the weak sections. You need to keep all the information fresh in your mind. I alternated between GC/OC notes and did a portion of flash cards every night
4) Study with someone. It really helps if you study with someone who is also studying for a standardized test. You guys can motivate each other.
5) DONT TAKE PRACTICE SCORES TO HEART. I literally had a roller coaster of scores. The highest AA I've ever got was a 20. Clearly I scored much higher. The scores you get from practice don't matter. What really matters is how you review those tests. I spent an entire day recording all the areas I got wrong for each section and review everything I wrote down. Make sure you review your tests thoroughly.
In conclusion, this test is not hard. You can do it! Stay focused, dedicated and keep a goal in mind. I wanted a 23 but I came pretty close! I'm overall satisfied and I am SO HAPPY I never have to learn about ecology or plants EVER AGAIN 😍
