8 credits in Physics- I am confused about prereq

So I took a course called "Introduction to Physics"- PHYS1520- It was a preparatory course (with labs) for students before Physics I & II. To fulfill US MD requirements, can I just take Physics I now as this will give me 8 credits in physics or must I also do Physics II ?

Does the syllabus state that the course you took is for science majors (or specified for biology/chemistry vs. physics), or is this a course for non-majors to fulfill general education requirements? You also need to see if you are prohibited in taking the other Physics I/II sequence if you took the Intro to Physics course.
