I am a physical therapist and I looked at my schedule for Monday and I see that I have an 8 year old boy who will be coming to me with "flat feet." My understanding is that the height of the arch has little to do with pain or dysfunction and is only maybe a little cosmetic. Is there a consensus opinion as to what age you might intervene? Assuming the absence of pain, I probably wouldn't do anything, recommend orthotics even OTS but might give some heel cord stretching. This kid has no neurological diagnoses whatsoever.

You get journals I don't get so I'm asking, what is the latest?
