I've seen people in other places talk about using some 80/20 rule for med school and I'm hoping someone can help me understand what the hell that's about. The 80/20 rule I know of is the Pareto principle, whereby 80% of a company's business is carried out by 20% of its employees. I don't quite see how that applies to studying in med school...

Does this have anything to do with the 15 minute rule whereby if your professor does not show up for 15 minutes after class starts you can leave?

Firm supporter of that rule. Fortunately or unfortunately lectures are recorded so there is no getting out of it from home.
