A thread for the super-late people.
My application was completed on 8/11. AADSAS verified my GPA 8/26. Mailing date is/was 9/2. 🙁
Anyone else in this boat?

I completed it on 8/24, got verification on 28th and I guess mine will be sent on Sep2. I don't think it's super late!!!! (or is it?)
 
Same here, completed my app. on 8/23, my GPA also got verivied on the 28th. I dont think we are that late, just not early... Good luck to all you guys!

You guys probably have a bit of a wait unless your stats are stellar. I'm 8/12 and only just recently started hearing back. It seems to start at around 3 weeks after your mailing date (assuming you get on those supplimentals quickly). Hope that helps.
 
My original mailing date was 6/27, the first batch. But I retook the DAT, and now it will be 9/16 with the updated application. Concerned about this...
 
My earliest mailing date was Aug 19 but my app was only totally totally complete (waiting on dentist letter) on Sep 2 so I sort of consider myself in this batch.

I did get one interview from Case before that though, on Aug 30. 2-3 weeks later, all quiet. 🙁

Not sure I belong here as my application was mailed in July, but I didn't take the DAT until 9/2 and my score was posted to AADSAS this week. I am pretty nervous.
 
I'm now under review at a few schools. Pretty exciting stuff!
 
A september date is a bit late. I was told by the Deans at Houston and Nebraska that to be competitive I should should for a July 1 deadline. I got everything done by July 1 with a mail date of July 22, and an interview invitation on August 8th. So it may take awhile since it is this late in the cycle, I've only heard back from 3 of my schools, so 5 more to go. Just try to be patient! GL!!!
 
My entire application was mailed out on 9/2, last wednesday I was invited for an interview at NOVA, but thats not until Jan 11th!

9/09 mailing date for me, which is about the same mailing date as everyone here. One interview so far (NYU). Got the interview invitation about one week after my application was considered complete.
 
Mailing date was 9/9, two interviews so far and hopefully more soon!

This is ridiculous and foolish on Nova's part. They review your app in mid Sept and invite you for an interview in mid Jan when you could get Dec. 1 offers from other schools and pay a deposit thereby possibly taking Nova out of the running.

Hopefully I will get a few more invites before that time, I think everyone who applied in the summer beat me to the punch with the pre december interviews

I gathered as much. I only have about 40. Is this going to be a red flag for any other schools? I plan on doing more shadowing during the year but I only had 40 at the time of application.
 
Wow. I'm freaking out. Must only be getting one interview this year... I don't know what's up with my app besides the average shadowing hours. My first mailing date was 8/26 and fully complete by 9/2, but later people are getting more interviews than me after only a couple of weeks... 🙁 Not cool.

40 hours is definitely a bit short. For example, I think NYU requires 100 hours. Being an international applicant probably makes it a bit tougher.

Interview #2 came on Monday for NYU, my interview date is next Tuesday! Yikes
 
Hmmm my applications weren't transmitted until 9/8 and my final supporting documents for TMDSAS weren't received until 9/13. I got an interview from Houston on 9/13 but have heard nothing but silence from Baylor and San Antonio 🙁

I am in the same boat but a little surprised. You turned in your application through TMDSAS on 9/8 and got an interview offer from Houston on 9/13. Please correct me if I am understanding it right. I turned in my completed application to TMDSAS (transmitted) on 8/22 and havent heard from them or any Texas school so far. You are lucky to have an offer withing a week. If you dont mind can you please share your stats as I am really worried about it.

Yeah thats correct. Just Houston though none of the others.

My stats:
TMDSAS sGPA 3.88 Overall GPA 3.83 DAT TS: 23, AA 23
300+ volunteer hours, and work part time. No research though.
 
Anyone else wanna diagnose my lack of interviews? Looking for consolation... 🙁 I know it's immature, but after a month of silence it's hard for me to keep my head up.

I'm almost afraid one of my references wrote scathing things about me; though I can't imagine why they would. I even bring one of them food treats and such regularly (I know that sounds childish, but we're pretty much friends. I love the guy). Sigh...

Yea. thats exactly how i feel.none of the peps around me is applying to grad schools either so guess thats why i cant seem to stay away from sdn.

Idk. Maybe b/c your international (plus a late app)? You're stats and ECs make an incredible application. It's like a crime if you don't get in somewhere. Just try to distract yourself. (I know, much easier said than done)
btw, I bet you would know if your prof was going to actually wright you a really bad LOR. I mean you're not a d**k to people right?
 
I belong to this thread as well, as AADSAS mailed my stuff on Sept 2nd (however I didn't complete most supplementals until the end of Sept...). I made the dumbest mistake on earth by NOT updating my shadowing hours on AADSAS. Instead of putting 100 I left it as 52 hours which was what it was at in July. I emailed all the schools to update this in my app but god knows if they did....maybe I need to give NYU a call tmr....
 
AADSAS mailed my stuff mid July, I took the DAT for the first time Aug 13, the schools received the scores Aug 29. So my application was completed rather late...I have 5 interviews now but those were all within the last week so I assume maybe they come at once?? I think everyone will go through a dry spell even if you applied late...

My overall GPA is like 3.65, Science is maybe a 3.57 or something like that (honestly I don't remember the aadsas numbers)
My DAT scores were good though PAT: 23 AA: 24 S: 25 (this is probably why i got responses, if anything)

Schools- Loma linda, columbia, temple, nyu, pittsburg

Baylor11 has great stats though, as a lot of people did I'm sure, but I always felt like schools are so...random with their responses. Schools you think you should be hearing from first don't even contact you.

Not to mention NYU lost my check and if I hadn't called them with proof, my app would be delayed! So make sure that the schools got all your fees and checks!! Something as simple as that can be holding you up. Another school also had my fee marked down as "unpaid" but when I told them to check their system, they were like "Oh sorry...you did pay," and then started to process it... You want to make sure, especially for schools that don't update on AADSAS.
 
A friend of mine here at U of T only got about 40 hours of shadowing and received an interview from NYU a couple weeks ago. We have nearly identical stats. She applied back in July though. I imagine it just takes longer for NYU to review international applications.

I did call my top choice schools (Penn, NYU and BU) and they all said that my apps were complete and that there was nothing they could see holding it up. Everything was received and in order. They even told me that my outstanding prereqs (currently taking a half year of English and Physics each) wouldn't hold up an interview invite.

The only solace I found was that NYU told me that they hadn't even booked any November interviews yet; they only book interviews for a few weeks notice. And BU only starts interviews in October anyways. So I suppose at the very least, should I receive an interview sometime this week, it's perhaps likely I'd interview before December.

So I suppose I'm just unlucky, haha. Here's hoping I hear something soon... 😳

Your ~40 hours should be good for most schools. NYU is the only school on your list that "requires" 100 hours. I know people with a lot fewer hours who went there, so I'm sure this is probably a soft requirement. I even know one pre-med to pre-dent convert who had ZERO shadowing hours who went to NYU.

I hope more interview invites will be rolling in for all of us soon!
 
Just got my offer for Baylor today!!! 😀 wicked excited!!!! Just waiting for hear from San Antonio now

I got a Pitt interview last week. I haven't heard from any of the other schools I applied to. I have no idea what's going on over there....

Not exactly 9/2. I submitted in middle of August, without DAT or most of my reference letters. Wrote DAT on 9/13. I think the mailing date (with DAT) was 09/30. Received first interview at NYU! For those who are interested in knowing stats- 4.0 cGPA, Perceptual 19, QR 19, RC 20, Bio 26, GC 25, OC 28, TS 27, AA 24. I did shadow for 100+ hours and am Canadian.

I couldn't reach Pitt either by email or by phone. Did you receive a confirmation? I scheduled for Oct 25 as well, but without confirmation I can't know for sure.

Ouch, I'm pretty sure I'm rejected by NYU then.
