I have an interview with a small retail chain next week. Now, the hours are 9-6 Mon thru Fri and we are closed weekends. Can this be to good to be true? The pay is less than huge chains, but comparable. Its a 45 hr week but they take your salary, divide by 52 weeks, take your hourly rate and pay you for 45 hours! I dont know the exact salary or benefits but i dont want to ask until the face to face interview. I had a phone interview today and it went well. Oh, NO DRIVE thru! This is like a real apothecary! OTC items only!! No milk, toilet paper, blah blah!! What could a small chain like this pay? I heard they start off with 3 weeks vac and personal time off also!! The best part is is that one can actually practice pharmacy!! BP screening, diabetes clinics!! I cant wait for the interview!
 
Those are amazing hours. Good luck with your interview, I love pharmacies like that.

Sounds too good to be true! I would totally take it.

I think im going to. I will take a small pay cut but i can always work part time some where if i need extra cash! I am truly excited! I will for once be able to talk to a patient for longer than 30 seconds! Oh, the pharmacy does 105 rx's per day!

That sounds a lot like the pharmacy that I work for, and I love it. We are able to actually know most of our patients. Congrats on finding such a great place.

had my interview today and it went pretty well! 110 rx's per day, 9-6 mon-fri and no weekends!! The pay is 50/hr, no 401 k match, 3 weeks paid vacation, and 5 PTO days paid! The pharmacy is just that! A pharmacy! No toilet paper, no milk no junk! Just OTC items and the pharmacy. 1 pharmacist runs the show, 45 hours per week. The director said he has some other interviews and will make a decision next week. I am crossing my fingers!!! Oh, my current employer I fill 400 plus, every other weekend, 401 k match, ESPP, 3 weeks vacation, 35 min commute. Is this a no brainer?

Well, the director will be making his desicion tomorrow. I am nervous! Again, the pharmacy is open 9-6 mon-fri, does 100-120 rx's per day, $117k/yr, 3 weeks vacation, 5 personall days!!!! I am crossing my fingers!!
 
my days of filling 400+ with one pharmacist is over!! Even if i dont get the job, i am never working for walgreens or CVS. It is just dangerous!
