Hi,

I'm about ready to submit my primary and I'm not sure what to do with the AP Credit my institution granted me. It says 9 Earned Hours (as best I can make of the acronym). The only AP class I took was AP Calc AB. By all rights it should only be worth 3 credits, as best I can tell. I'm positive I didn't take any other AP or IB or similar classes.

Should I just list AP Calc as 9 credits earned? I'm afraid that's going to raise eyebrows and get in the way of me being verified. Thanks!

Are you sure the acronym doesn't imply 'exempt' or something of the sort?
If taking AP calc 'placed' you in such a way that several possible intro math courses were listed as 'exempt' (which is not credit, per se), I can see you getting 9 exemption 'credits'.

Thanks for your reply. The acronym is EHRS. I think its a running total of all units I've taken that includes both graded and non-graded classes. Should I list the AP Calc class as 9, then?

contact your school and figure out what EHRS means. sounds like it's something similar to what @mehc012 said... i assume this calc class was from a regular semester-based class? because I have a couple of 5 hour classes (but it was a trimester program.. so it equates to 3 semester hours)

Yeah, if you look that up, it's just 'Earned credit hours'.
List it on the app as it is on your transcript. If AAMC doesn't like it, I guess they can fix it. However, your job is to translate your transcript accurately as given to you.

If they do fix it, it's not the end of the world as long as you have fewer than 10 errors total. So be careful with the rest of your transcript and you should be good.
