A Brief Paranoiac Inquiry Regarding the AADSAS Application Service

Hello and good day to whomever should read this,

I’m writing this message to inquire about whether I could potentially be classified as a reapplicant under my AADSAS application account— I initially created an account sometime in 2018 in order to check the specifics of the application and view the type of information asked on the application. However, I was not actually applying back in 2018 and had no intention to apply that year. I recently logged into this account again, to observe if any changes had been made to the application format, and was mildly surprised to see the application service referring to me as a reapplicant even though that isn’t the case as I hadn’t submitted an application in the 2018-2019 cycle (or this cycle either for that matter).

When I do eventually apply to dental programs, will the respective schools I apply to view my application as that from a reapplicant?

I don’t believe someone is considered a reapplicant until they have actually applied a first then second time. Perhaps someone knows more on this topic, but I wouldn’t see you classified as a reapplicant in this situation.

I did the same exact thing. I made an account during the 2018-2019 cycle, and started to add some info and see what I needed. During the 2019-2020 cycle when I logged back in AADSAS was referring to me as a reapplicant as well. I however was not actually considered a reapplicant because I never submitted my application to any schools in the 2018-2019 cycle. So you’re not going to be considered a reapplicant unless you actually submitted the application to schools and payed the fee.
