I noticed that a lot of people speak highly of the aged/gpr that take place in VAs. I noticed that a person can actually start a career for the VA directly. Seems like a pretty good gig, no? Get to work on veterans and military members, cost is rarely a factory and the pay is very competitive. On top of that, you can keep doing a great variety of procedures because of the cost.

Does anyone have any real life feedback regarding the VA?

VA will be very similar to public health IMO. Pay is so-so, but you are giving back to a worthy group. The biggest problem is the giant bureaucracy that runs the show. I'm not sure about variety of procedures, but I think like most places, it will vary based on money available and size/importance of facility.
