lest just say that johnny graduated witha 4 year degree and is now a first year medical student who paid his med school tuition and everything is going well. however, he gets a call some months later from his alma mater who informed him that they will revoke his degree because they saw that he cheated on an assignment in a particular course.

How will johnny's medical school admins gonna react to this info given that now he paid his tuition and is already enrolled at their med school?

I ask this question because i was told that med school will turn a blind eye to a lot of wrongdoings from your past (if they ever do come out of the woodwork) once you're enrolled there and paid the tuition because the process of refudning the tuition or wasting a seat is a massive headache.

Define cheating. That's extreme to revoke a conferred degree. A "call" is insufficient communication. This requires written documentation including a revised transcript to the medical school noting the action. It will come out in the National Student Clearinghouse.

Was a dean's conduct letter required for enrollment? If I were the Student Services director at the medical school, I'd ask for documentation of findings from the previous school for my Student Academic Standing Committee.

it's not like it can't happen as we see professors getting dragged through plagiarism investigations (whether justified or not). It won't look good for the student. It depends on the Student Handbook, but not disclosing is grounds for expulsion. No refund.
