Hi all.. Have a couple GRE questions:
1. If you don't mind answering a personal question ...For those of you who have accepted to vet school with a low GPA, what was your GRE score? And where did you get accepted?

2. I'm planning on taking the GRE in July. I'm not applying for admission this year but at the earliest fall of 2010. Do I have to report my scores to schools yet? I don't know where I want to apply yet! (besides my home school, VAMD, of course)

I felt like I had a 3rd question, but apparently not. If I think of it, I'll post it later. Thanks in advance for the f/u answers!

you don't have to report your scores right after you take the test, but if you do you can do it for free.

Check their website, I think the limit might be like 4 or 5 schools or something that you can have your scores sent to after you take the test.

Even if you end up sending scores to schools that you don't apply to, it can't hurt.

Any scores reports you choose to have sent AFTER you leave the testing center will cost you. I believe it's $20 per school at that point.

I'll send a PM with my GPA/GRE information.

There's no harm in reporting scores to schools this early, although I'm not sure that they would remain on file for over a year so you might want to contact the schools. It would be worth using the free score reports for VA-MD and perhaps 3 other schools you think you may be applying to when the time comes.

I had a 3.4 overall GPA with a 1400 GRE.

I would report the scores to my top picks. I would call first and see if they will hold them that long.

As people have already said...you get 4 or 5 free reports at the time of the test. I highly recommend taking that option.

Call the schools you are going to apply to and see how long they hold GRE score reports.
