A Few Questions Before June 1st

I am aware that AADSAS opens up on June 1st, so I had a few questions to assure myself I am prepared to hit submit ASAP.


1. Is there anyway I can send in the transcript form to my colleges now and have them mail the transcripts to AADSAS by June 1st?

2. I am going to take the DATs again this July, would my application be complete if I send AADSAS my previous score with all other requirements ready...(is there a check mark for "I will be taking the DAT in the future" even if they have my first score?

1. No. Once you can create your profile on AADSAS on June 1, you can enter in the information for your undergraduate institution. At that point, there will be a button available to print the "Transcript Matching Form". This isn't available until you create your account.

2. As far as I can remember, the ADA takes care of sending scores to AADSAS by matching your dentpin. I believe you enter previous test dates and any future date, and the scores are sent to AADSAS by the ADA. You do not self report any score. Obviously, you want to make sure that the schools you apply to receive your new scores if you submit your application before your test date. I do not have experience on how that works.

Nope you can't send them early. until the application opens you can't create an account thus can't create matching forms.

there was no section last year to put in future test dates on the AADSAS part. there was on some secondary apps.

You don't even enter a score you just provide your dentpin and that's it.

I have heard this process can take a few weeks and would like to get the ball rolling without having to wait for my LOR writes. I guess what I'm asking is - does your GPA get verified prior to submitting the whole application?

If I remember correctly, I believe you have to submit your application and pay their fees before they will verify your GPA. So, your PS needs to be in, but I don't think your LORs need to be sent in for you to submit. You just need to designate who your LOR writers will be. The LOR writers can send it in whenever after submission and it will get updated on your AADSAS status.

Yes, you can have your letter writers send the LORs directly to AADSAS (remember to include the matching AADSAS evaluation forms with the letters). Or, what I did was collect the sealed letters and sent them in myself. AADSAS also gives writers the option to send letters electronically, which you can choose when filling out that section of the application (ask your writers first which they'd prefer - paper or electronic). I think it's probably faster than to go through Interfolio as the middleman.

I assume you could send the matching AADSAS forms to Interfolio and then have them send it together with the letters.

Save each LOR matching form to your computer and then upload it to Interfolio. Then have both the LOR and Matching form sent from interfolio to AADSAS

okay question - if you wanted to send letter of rec from interfolio to the dental school in addition to AADSAS, how would they match your letter to your application?
