I have a few questions regarding my direction in the next year or so, would love some outside perspective.

Background:

Will be graduating in a few months (biochem) with a 3.0 cGPA and ~3.1 sGPA
Upper div GPA will be about 3.2

Obviously a very low GPA here and need to do well on the MCAT

What I have done so far:
-NCAA baseball (one year)
-Coaching baseball camps/clinics (3 months/one summer)
-ABA therapy children with autism (4 months/ one summer)
-Biotech internship, research/ no publication (4 months/ one summer)
-Tutoring underserved children in STEM ~60 hours

Questions:

(1) Does ABA therapy as a paraprofessional with children diagnosed with autism count as a clinical experience?

(2) Would returning to ABA therapy and working with children (which I truly enjoy doing) be more beneficial than applying to lab jobs which my major is more geared toward as a starting point?
*also, ABA therapy seems to be more flexible as far hours which will allow me time to do other things to round out my application

(3) going forward, should anything be done about my low GPA? (looking at stats for DO schools too, but posted here because I still don't really know)
*masters or post-bacc or something, what MCAT is necessary to balance this out or is that not possible?

(4) Going forward, I plan to work at one of the two aforementioned jobs while looking for opportunities to
-shadow doctors
-volunteer in a clinical setting (seems impossible to get paid for clinical in bay area)
-study and take MCAT
Does this seem feasible or sufficient?

I would do a SMP and get stellar grades and shoot for a 512+. Don't forget you need shadowing too.
If you want it, I would dig deep for the long haul.

@DrHart thanks so much for your reply and advice. Do you have any thiughts with respect to the ABA therapy, whether that's a good route to go in the meantime or whether you would consider that clinical?

I appreciate any advice from anyone.

Thank you
