I just went back to read the application I submitted, and I realized that there were a few typos on my Work/Acitvities. Mainly using past tense a few times when the activity is currently on-going. Is this okay or will it effect my application negatively?

You're fine. I had a couple of typos in my PS and still got interviews and acceptances. No worries! =]

I think the general consensus on this is that as long as it doesn't totally change the meaning of your application, it shouldn't matter.

Most of the time, the people reading it wont even notice.

I had a typo in my ECs in AMCAS and got intervies and acceptances at top 10 schools. I think if you have a lot of typos it would be a point against you, as it would appear that you did not carefully review your application. But any professional has sent off important documents and noticed a typo or two afterward, ADCOMMs are no different and will not judge you for it.

sorry, I'm just being a jerk!

i accidently said that several of my activities occurred in the northern mariana islands (MP) instead of north carolina (NC) and still got in 4 places hahaha

I don't think using past tense to describe ongoing activities is incorrect at all, especially considering that it shows consistency. I purposely did this, and if I happen to get asked at interviews about it, I'll have a good explanation.

As a geography nerd, you just made my day 😍
