It doesn't matter what you major in, as long as you get the prerequisites. Major in what you like, not what you think will increase your chances of getting into pharmacy school.

You can do just fine on the PCAT with general chem and organic. I imagine that the upper level classes will further your understanding of the material and help you score higher but it isn't necessary.

I was a chem major. The upper level chem classes only minutely reinforce what you should already have learned in regards to the PCAT material. Just study hard for G.chem and O.chem and that should be sufficient for the PCAT. G. chem is more important than O.chem imo.

You will be fine with your current major as long as you do well on your pre-reqs.

I was accepted as a Psychology major.

Admission committees may see you has a stronger candidate with both majors, but you also risk not doing as well in your classes with the increased amount of requirements/increased course load.

By majoring in chemistry , you will learn much more than necessary for pharmacy school / PCAT . I personally would not major in chemistry (maybe a minor if you are truly interested in the field)
