A human being passes bits of what is grossly unmistakeably raw flesh, which look pinkish-red (like that of liver or some other internal organ) in their stool (perhaps 10-20 several mm x several mm bits per stool). The person is a vegetarian and this has happened each time they've had a bowel movement for at least 4 months. There is no visible blood in the stool, and a three-sample fecal occult blood test was negative and colonoscopy was negative for any gross pathology. Two colon biopsies (left, right) were negative for pathology as well. CBC results were normal. ALT, bilirubin, parasite and ovum, fecal white blood cell tests were also all normal.
What might the source of the raw flesh bits be?
I understand that the prudent action is to "see a doctor." However, the point of this post is to gather ideas on what the source of the raw flesh might be, not what action this person should take.
I eagerly await any responses!
Thanks!
