As this season winds down, please share a memorable candidate that you came across during this interview season. GOOD or BAD cases are welcome. Here is mine...

During a brunch session that was organized by the program at a nice restaurant- One of the fellow candidate went up to the empty piano in the middle of the room and played a beautiful piece. We were all chit chatting with each other but all of a sudden we were all surprised at the sudden change of atmosphere. It was really nice to hear him play so well...I would like to have this person as a co resident. Really cool.....🙂

There was one applicant in my specialty who was famous for taking selfies with all of the other applicants on each of his interview days. I had heard about "selfie guy" at 3-4 other interviews before we finally crossed paths on the trail. Totally nice guy in person, and easily the most notorious!

A couple of years ago, as one of the applicants was walking out of her interview, she hit me on the butt with her leather portfolio. She started cracking up laughing. She will forever be known as the girl who hit my butt during an interview. She did not match here...

I remember this chick that was I interviewed with twice that was late for both dinner the night before and late on both interview days. WTF.......Most important thing you can do is show up on time for an interview.

yeah saw that happen at one program.... Interview was in Inland empire area and she was staying in Beverly Hills for some reason... Guess she wanted to be closer to Rodeo than the hospital.
