Hello fellow SDNers 🙂

I'm a long time lurker here at the forums finally taking the plunge and deciding to become a doctor (long road ahead of me, I know). I just wanted to point out something i've noticed in my passive observations of this particular forum...

...Everyone here is so darn helpful! 👍

I just wanted to give a big high five to everyone here helping each other out, no matter how stupid the question, how obvious the answer. Props to you all.

I feel like the OP has missed the litany of sarcastic remarks before the question is usually answered.

That being said you guys are helpful.

I could only see this part of the OP's post and the funny thing is was that I was almost certain this would be another thread about how SDNers needed to stop picking apart newbies.

Oops.

Thank you accepted.

The only reason I help people here is so I can list it on my AMCAS as a leadership/mentor activity

...anyone willing to write a LOR for me?

Here we are almost six years after I made my first thread/post on SDN when I was a senior in high school thanking you all for your helpful insight into applying to medical school.

Six years later, I hold an acceptance. Class of 2017! Thanks you guys.

Congrats ben!

Reading the original post in a completely sarcastic tone is really funny (and also accurate).

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll definitely be more active on SDN in an advisory role since now I feel like an admission validates what advice I might give

Man, I forgot about those action tag things.

😛onders for a minute:

I guess those are the equivalent to hashtags these days. #nostalgia

I was reading this, waiting to see who the jerk was that decided to bump this thread...what a surprise 😍

Apparently things have changed since 2007.

Good job though opie, you actually delivered. Enjoy your lounging around relaxing goals of spring 2013

Haha, yeah the atmosphere was different then, but some things are definitely still the same.

Where were you accepted at?

Rosalind Franklin. Had a wonderful time interviewing there.

Interviewed at UC Davis last Friday though, and had an incredible day / MMI experience there. If Davis accepts me, it's going to be a tough choice since i'm already well established in northern california. 🙂
