Would you all mind answering a poll for me? The medical spouse network is having a massive discussion about whether or not the poor should receive free healthcare and whether or not most physicians come from physician homes...or from parents who are "upper-class"....I would appreciate any answers you could give. The poll url is http://www.321website.com/members/home/data/residents/polls.html
Thanks...and I would love to discuss these questions on this board, by the way

Well, I can only speak personally, and I come from a non-physician family, first doctor (of any kind) we have.

On the free medical-care, all you have to do is look at Canada where medical care is free (as per a socialistic society) and there is your answer. If you are unfamiliar with their system, basically as a nation they have filed Chapter 11 and have a very poor medical system.

Just to stimulate thought: When something is free, how much quality control is done? What right does anyone have to complain, they haven't paid anything? Just some ideas.
