Hey I'm new here and I would just like your guys opinion on my situation. My school does not offer A&P with a lab and I have been told by my advisor to take two biology classes (anatomy bio classes) to fill this need for the lack of lab. I was just wondering if anyone here has had this problem. I have looked at a couple programs I am interested in applying to next year that take the A&P combined course. Would it be a waste to take the bio classes?

My school also did not offer A&P with a lab, and I had to retake both of them at another school. I think it's one of the most important prereqs, so if there is another school you can take it at, I recommend doing that.

Most schools specifically require human anatomy with lab. My school had anatomy lecture only, so I had to take a semester of human anatomy lecture and lab at a community college. You should contact those programs directly to see what accommodations they make for your case. For now, register at your nearest community college and try to get into their anatomy class, just in case.

Call the school you intend on applying to, they will have an answer. Quick 5 minute phone call... You don't want to take two semesters of something when you don't have to

I will definitely do that thank you!!

There might be some combination of classes that would let you could get away with it and a few schools, but from everything I've seen I think taking an A&P sequence without labs will be a waste of time for you.
