Oh brother. 🙄

Obama making friends not enemies? Wow what a concept. It's almost like he doesn't want the world hating America. Bravo! 4 more years! 😍

I wonder if Sean Insanity saw this yet. I'd love to hear his commentary about how Obama is weakening our superpower status.

Some quotes...

"I have said it already, I am convinced that the way to build a new and better world is not capitalism. Capitalism leads us straight to hell."
-Hugo Chavez

"I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet."
-Hugo Chavez

"The left is back, and it's the only path we have to get out of the spot to which the right has sunken us. Socialism builds and capitalism destroys."
-Hugo Chavez

"I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet."
-Hugo Chavez

"I'm asking them [the opposition] 'Where is your plan?', ... 'Where is your alternative?' All they want is turn to Venezuela into a U.S. colony."
-Hugo Chavez

"Let's save the human race, let's finish off the U.S. empire."
-Hugo Chavez

"The grand destroyer of the world, and the greatest threat ... is represented by U.S. imperialism."
-Hugo Chavez

"Yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, from this rostrum, the president of the United States, the gentleman to whom I refer as the Devil, came here, talking as if he owned the world. Truly. As the owner of the world."
-Hugo Chavez

"Remember, little girl, I'm like the thorn tree that flowers on the plain. I waft my scent to passers-by and prick he who shakes me. Don't mess with me, Condoleezza. Don't mess with me, girl."
-Hugo Chavez

"Just look at the internal repression inside the United States, the Patriot Act, which is a repressive law against U.S. citizens. They have put in jail a group of journalists for not revealing their sources. They won't allow them to take pictures of the bodies of the dead soldiers, many of them Latinos, coming from Iraq. Those are signs of Goliath's weaknesses."
-Hugo Chavez

"Go to hell, gringos! Go home!...What does the empire want? Condoleezza said it. How are you? You've forgotten me, missy...Condoleezza said it clearly, it's about creating a new geopolitical map in the Middle East...They took out Saddam Hussein and they hung him, for better or worse. It's not up to me to judge any government, but that gentleman was the president of that country."
-Hugo Chavez

"Don't be shameless, Mr Blair. Don't be immoral, Mr Blair. You are one of those who have no morals. You are not one who has the right to criticise anyone about the rules of the international community. You are an imperialist pawn who attempts to curry favour with Danger Bush-Hitler, the number one mass murderer and assassin there is on the planet. Go straight to hell, Mr Blair."
-Hugo Chavez

And, my personal favorite, his adulation for Robert Mugabe...

"I give you a replica of liberator Simon Bolivar's sword. For you who, like Bolivar, took up arms to liberate your people. For you who, like Bolivar, are and will always be a true freedom fighter. He continues, alongside his people, to confront the pretensions of new imperialists."
-Hugo Chavez

Yeah, clearly this is a great man and leader for the new U.S. president to be cozzying up to and "making friends" with. 🙄

You can't really disagree with these.I like the one about Blair 🙂

So, you condone this form of "diplomacy"?

😕

-copro

Who says your version of Diplomacy is the best one or the correct one. Which is kinda Chavez's point. 🙂

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants"

Have you even listened to one single thing Chavez has said or stands for?!?

Yea, I'm just ECSTATIC that our President sees the need to court and befriend someone like him. 🙄

Why are you so afraid of the world having opinions, even if they are negative.
Do as I say, not as I do?

Yes, lets compare a President who isn't the best public speaker (and doesn't use a teleprompter constantly) to a dictator who wants to destroy America, capitalism, and all the we stand for. Grins and handshakes all around Mr. Obama. Yes we can, yes we can!......and if we don't really want to try to do it ourselves, the govt can do it for us.

You must have missed #4.
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." --Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

Chavez understands that politics nowadays is all about putting on a good show.

Then he truly does have a good friend in Obama.

Do you really not understand the difference between someone stumbling over words, having a slip of tongue and someone actually speaking about his radical beliefs??

EDIT: Just saw your above post about being sarcastic........

Why are you so afraid of the world having opinions, even if they are negative.
Do as I say, not as I do?

Um... I never said anything about being afraid of the world having opinions. They can have all the opinions that they want, but when someone is pretty openly against what THIS COUNTY was founded on then yea, I think our President should handle that a little different.

Ummm, are you NOT afraid of terrorists and crazed dictators with nukes having opinions like, "Hey, I think we should destroy America." But I guess everyone has the right to express themselves, and we should embrace them as friends and just talk out our differences with them, eh?

Wow you ARE afraid. What a sad and pathetic life you must lead. I am only afraid of people like you that believe I should live in constant fear of 'evil' from those who want to take away my 'freedoms' and threaten 'capitalism'. Lay of the conservative radio talking points, it bleeds in your posts. Do you think for yourself anymore or has the high chancellor of the conservative cult Premier Rush Limbaugh not told you what to believe today.

Not really sure what your point is..... are you seriously trying to compare the risk people face of injury/illness to a discussion on politics and the future of this country??

So because I'm more likely to get cancer than be injured by a terrorist I should forget about worrying about where my country is headed and not worry about maintaining the rights and principles this country was founded on? Brilliant.

So let me get this straight....IM the idiot for believing that people who say they want to destroy America, and either have nuclear capabilities, or are working on their nuclear programs, should be considered threats, while YOU would prefer to be all buddy buddy with them, and focus more on the threat of hamburgers?

Yes, yes you are.

I am honestly surprised you get internet access in whatever bunker you live in. What ISP provides internet access in the depths of fear, uncertainly and deception that you live in? What level of radiation shielding do you get down there? I might need to know this because of all the threats I have been getting.

In your infinite wisdom, I am curious if you have any 'real' evidence of these supposed threats to America?

... the rights and principles this country was founded on?....

Tyranny and uprising? Rebellion against an oppressive government? Civil War? Manifest Destiny?
Sure, that sounds like fun!

A rational person, treats a rational threat, with a rational response. You are MORE likely to die of heart disease, than 'nuclear' bombs. So your response is to act irrationally, towards an irrational threat, with an irrational responses. Bravo! Kudos, to your brilliant circular logic.

So I guess the government should start shifting the bulk of our military funding over to nationalized mandatory fitness centers?

First off, why do assume I'm some lunatic in a bomb shelter because I believe that there are people in the world that don't like America and would like to hurt us? I guess it is kind of nuts to believe that anyone would ever try to kill innocent Americans (*cough* 9-11 *cough*)...

Second, can you clarify what you are saying when you ask me for "real evidence" of threats to America? Are you somehow implying that you believe there isn't anyone in the whole world that is a threat to America?

...because your ranting, raving, and irrational fear make you sound like a lunatic. What are you basing your fears on? What rational information are you using to amass such irrational paranoia? Which pieces of evidence have you personally investigated that have allowed this crazy to come out? Who has convinced you that these threats exist? Curious minds want to know. 😕

Fact is you are most likely to get stabbed on the street TODAY, than die from these imaginary threats. You act like any attack against an American is an act of war. What about the innocent of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? What about this innocent of Vietnam? What about the innocent of Somalia? What about the innocent of North Korea, Iran and Venezuela? What makes you so special?

So then why do you live here? Are you even remotely familiar with American history, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc....? I guess you don't even think that America should have be created to begin with, well great, now leave.

Why don't you go up to D.C. then and tell our entire military force and government officials that they are wasting their time staying prepared for the worst case scenario. YOU go tell them to throw away their response scenarios, and let me know when even the most liberal official there outright laughs at you.

I'm not even sure what you're talking about by saying I'm acting irrationally toward an irrational threat?? Why don't YOU stop with the radical talking points. You are right in that I am more likely to die of heart disease, so I take the necessary steps to mitigate that. The government has a role in protecting this country and that involves planning for even unlikely events. And from past history you are an absolute FOOL to think that there is not a threat against this country.

So I guess the government should start shifting the bulk of our military funding over to nationalized mandatory fitness centers?

Imagine the cost savings over the next 50 years if we reduced diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Imagine how much better peoples lives would be if they didn't have worry about such basic health problems. Holy crap, you actually posted a good idea. 👍

Well it's pretty obvious this is going to go absolutely nowhere. If disagree with so much of what this country has done why do you even live here, there are lots of places where I'm sure their ideology lines up with yours. In the meantime have a nice life and please don't ruin my country.

I am not the one living in fear, YOU are. I like the way things are. I am doing JUST fine, how about you? 😍

What radical talking points have I made? I haven't made one suggestion. You keep bringing up these imaginary threats. Are you feeling ok?

matty, i could go to southside right now and run into people that would want to hurt me. there is more to fear within this country than some distant "possibility".

i should mention that the anniversary of columbine is approaching.

...but you are ruining my country 🙁 You want to do the crazy things that terrorists do, but to other countries. That makes me very sad.

If these threats are true, why don't you leave my precious country and go somewhere 'they' can't find you?

I am not the one living in fear, YOU are. I like the way things are. I am doing JUST fine, how about you? 😍

Actually I am not living in fear, I am just peachy..... a little concerned about this country because I live here and care about it, but I'm doing just fine.

I'm glad you view everything in black and white, life is a little more complex at times. You seem convinced that anyone who gives a damn about the direction of this country or about any possible threats must live in a constant state of fear. 🙄

Anyway, feel free to have the last word here 'cause I'm done. 😎

matty, i could go to southside right now and run into people that would want to hurt me. there is more to fear within this country than some distant "possibility".

Ummm, I was addressing Spyyder......but tell me how that is even relevant. Your response is akin to the following conversation:

Prospective Car Buyer: "Hey does this car have airbags?"
Car Salesman: "Buddy, I could stab you in the leg right now with my pencil, why are you worried about some distant possibility?"

Sound like a stupid conversation? Yeah, I think so too...

Can you just please give a simple yes or no answer to the following question:

Do you feel any of the following people/groups pose ANY threat to America or American citizens:
Kim Jong-Il - yes
Ahmadinejad, yes
Chavez - yes
the Taliban - yes,
Somali pirates - yes
,or ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD? - yes

Credible threat? No, absolutely 100%, no

Define credible? Cause I'd say attacking American ships, blowing up American buildings, building up massive military forces and nuclear arsenals all the while saying how America needs to be destroyed would qualify as a "credible" theat? How do you define it?

Obama making friends not enemies? Wow what a concept. It's almost like he doesn't want the world hating America. Bravo! 4 more years! 😍

I wonder if Sean Insanity saw this yet. I'd love to hear his commentary about how Obama is weakening our superpower status.

Making friends with mini dictators who are tied at the hip with north korea and iran.

Obama is a disaster.

Airbags are standard thanks to liberal legislation, so you don't have to ever ask that question. You're welcome.
