Hi Everyone! I submitted my primary on July 1st, and now, in this past week, I have received 9/11 secondaries in a span of about 4 days. I am scared!!! I don't know how I am going to finish all of them in a timely manner. I am worried because people are already posting that they have completed them and sent them in already. Is anyone else feeling this pressure to finish the secondaries SOON???

just take your time...it's still early in the process...in fact, most secondaries ask to write an essay about motivation and ability to become a good DO...so just write one and modify it to fit each school's specifically...

Which schools did you receive 2ndaries from? Some of us still haven't heard anything.

First of all -relax! 🙂 I know it sounds hard, but you just need to organize them (by the date you got them) and then start looking for similarity in the essay questions. One of the above posters mentioned that they all basically ask for the same essay - and it's true. They need to be individualized for each school, but most have at least one question that is generic (why should we accept you, what qualities can you bring to our class, etc...).
I found that it helped to put them in a pile and work on two at a time. Filling out all of the easy questions on each one first also lessens the stress (the extra curric and community activity questions where you just have to list things). Try to take it easy and formulate a game plan for tackling them and then before you know it they'll be done! Best of luck! 😀

Thanks for the soothing words Paulista and PalCareGrl. I know I am just freaking out. I have all the secondaries organized by date, and looked for similarities in the questions. I just have to start filling the actual application out! 😱 Anyway, I think someone just needs to give me a good kick in the butt to put my answers on the papers!
