Thanks in part to all of the support and advice I have received here at SDN, I am now officially no longer a premed. I am an MS0. The University of Cincinnati is my first acceptance. 😎

Way to go cod!

Congrats.

Are you still waiting to hear from the University of Evil and World Domination? If you go to Cinci, nobody will call you Dr. Evil. 🙂

Congratulations! Is that what accepted students are called, MS0? It'll be nice not having to say, "I'm studying to go into medical school." Now you ARE going to medical school!

👍 😀

Good luck to all the premeds out there applying, it's only a matter of time before you too are MS0. Then MS1... :luck:

Many congrats, oh Evil One.

Come join me in the secret "I've been accepted" smokeroom. We've got brandy and cigars.

😀 👍

Not really. I'm reminded of stories about mountain climbers. You might think that when they reach the summit of Mt. Everest, they would jump up and down, celebrate, shout "I'm on top of the world!" and plant their flags. But what they actually do is immediately turn around and head back down. That's because the most dangerous part of mountain climbing is return trip.

But yeah, it's a relief and a vindication that my dream really *was* possible. Thanks, everyone, for your kind wishes, and best of luck to you all.

Congrats, Now I assume that the dangerous climb down for you(us) is what to do until next fall. What shortterm goals can we find for continual motivation having just completed one of our ultimate life goals. This is a problem that I have recently become aware of, and I hope to loose the treading water feeling that I have recently gotten.

That's so exciting! Any chance you might make a thread that details the trials and tribulations that were involved on your way to where you are now?
