Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but my primary site for inpatient pediatrics was not my home institution, it was an affiliated hospital. After seeing how stressed the residents were looking after 2-3 patients (there were literally more people on the team than patients on the floor at one point), I did not apply there for residency despite it being one of the reasons I chose pediatrics as a specialty.
