Hello Fellow SDNites,
Let me start by saying that this forum is really outstanding and I have been reading it for a while now. Let me cut the chase here. I am a 35 year old PhD researcher seriously thinking of pursuing MD career path. I obtained my PhD in Biomedical Sciences from an US university but my undergraduate studies were done in another country. Yes, I am an international student, though fortunately I have a green card (Other wise I wouldn't even dream about this path). I understand that the basic premed courses must be taken from US colleges. My question is would my course work during PhD (60+ hours in wide range of biomedical sciences ) cover for the premed course requirement? Obviously I didn't take exact courses of premed, but took much advanced courses like Molecular Biology, Immunology, Physiology, Statistics, Pharmacology all of which are actually of MD level.
Any response will be much appreciated. THanks in advance.😀
