I have a quick question... I remember reading that a "beefy red tongue" was pathognomic for something, but I can't remember what it is and it is driving me nuts. Please help!

raspberry tongue, the dark red tongue with a glistening smooth surface and prominent filiform papillae seen after desquamation of the white coating characteristic of the early stage of scarlet fever. See also white strawberry t. Called also red strawberry t.

atrophic glossitis from b-vitamin (niacin/thiamine) or pernicious anemia (b12)?
 
Thanks for the replies... any other ID thoughts? For some reason I was thinking it was ID related but not Strep.
