This has pretty big consequences. Now you can't have a backup plan...
Will more, or less people apply now? Or will it even change how many apply?

I think this will give more people more time to gain exposure to neurosurgery & probably make the process much more competitive. A similar thing happened when otolaryngology went from an early match to the regular match a few years back.

Sucks.
 
Could someone please explain the difference btn the SF Match and the ERAS/NRMP system?

I don't think it's going to make any difference except step2 will matter more.

Hey thanks for the heads up!

Are you saying that we cant apply to another specialty like gen surg while also applying to NS? I am a bit confused... I just hope that is not the case b/c then if you dont match... :scared:
