This might get kind of confusing, so I'll try to put most of this stuff plainly...

I'm a first semester junior right now. I want to get on board with my school's Premed Review Committee. To be able to use the Committee for my intended cycle, I have to have taken the MCAT by May 27th. I haven't taken the MCAT. I didn't plan on taking the MCAT until July 30th (I was going to study all this summer). I loaded up on science courses for next semester in an attempt to boost my sGPA up, so, needless to day, next semester will be a tough one, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to study for the MCAT efficiently while maintaining my desired grades... Keep in mind that it is not too late to drop some of these classes if need be.

Here are my main options/questions for yall..
1) Should I cram in studying for the MCAT over Christmas and take it in January (30th)so I can use the Premed Committee (I figured this would be the easiest method)? I just don't know if I'll be prepared to do my best on the MCAT with that amount of studying time.

2) Should I not use the Review Committee and just take the MCAT over the summer and get my application started late (probably in late August)? I don't know if I want to risk the later application, my numbers are pretty average.

What to do, what to do...

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

With average numbers, I would advise you to apply early. Do whatever you need to do to get started. Studying for the MCATs if not too bad, especially since you'll be taking science classes too. You can take it during semester so maybe you can take it at a later date but before the May deadline.
