Today I received an interview invite from Maryland in my Hotmail account. The problem is, I have junk e-mail filters turned on, so the e-mail got sent to the junk e-mail folder.

If you use Hotmail or another e-mail service with junk filtering, make sure you check out your junk mail folders carefully. This same situation happened to a friend of mine applying to USC last year.

for some reason, my hotmail really sucks. last year, when i applied, tufts sent me an interview invite though hotmail...the thing is, i never received it. luckily, they also sent a snail mail invite too but when i wanted to choose the dates, all of them were booked except for two (out of like 15) that i absolutely couldn't make. when i talked to them about my situation they allowed me to come on another date so i was lucky. but also, ohio state supposedly sent secondaries over email as well and i never received it (stupid hotmail) so i never knew about it until MUCH later when i decided to call them to see what was taking so long.

moral of the story: if you haven't heard from a school for awhile, don't be afraid to call them because sometimes little things like what happened to me can screw things up. luckily, i was still able to get an interview invite from OSU but what if i never called them????

I got a "file does not begin with PDF" message" and the file just doesn't download.

The secondary came via email to me today. In the body of the email, the school said we have one week to return the secondary; and, once they receive the secondary, they'll schedule an interview.

so i assume that secondaries were not necessarily sent out to all primary applicants to U-Maryland? in other words, the distribution of the 2ndary was a selective process, so 2ndary/interview is a 2 in 1 package?

hey guys, ya i just recieved the secondary from maryland, and i had the problem as typo, it went into my junk mail account. thank god i checked it for once. and na, i'm not an MD resident, but actually a FL resident. but i was wondering if anybody knows whether we can become residents?? tuition is much cheaper for residents. aiite guys
