a valid update to send to schools?

hi all,

what types of things do you send to schools you've applied to as updates (other than new grades)? i had an abstract accepted at an upcoming conference, but i'm not sure if that is something worth sending out to schools - please let me know what you think.

btw, i had an aug mcat score, so i'm still waiting for interviews

I've sent additional letters of recommendation, and letters of intent. Granted, these are for schools I've been waitlisted at. If you are looking to update your file, you may just want to send a letter talking about your paper, and your continued interest in the school. Make sure you also send updated transcripts with new grades, if applicable.
