AACOMAS Multiple Holds Report

Hey all,

I am currently holding an acceptance to 2 DO schools. I recently received an email from faculty at one of the schools informing me that May 1st is the date that AACOMAS asks that applicants only be holding a seat at one osteopathic medical school, and that a report will be made available to schools with the names of those holding more than one seat. This is the first I am hearing of such a report, does anyone know anything about this and if it is actually a big deal or not?

"After May 1, AACOMAS reports to each institution the names and candidates for its entering class who hold an acceptance(s) at additional institutions."

It’s a bit greedy to hold more than one acceptance this late in the cycle, especially with so many on wait lists.
