Nice to see the AAD acknowledging the potential abusive and unethical practice of client billing for pathology services. It may be too optimistic to hope that this will influence clinician billing practices in states that still allow client billing, but if nothing else hopefully this is a small step toward the eventual banning of this practice across all 50 states.

I hope so too and it should be for ALL lab testing. No exceptions.

In Ohio, they outlawed client billing for AP specimens except for...........Derm of course! The derms fought to get an exemption for their work.
