WoW AADSAS is so slow that it took them a month and a half to send out my transcript alone!!!! This is ridiculous.

I just received my pink confirmation slip from aadsas and I have a question! My GPAs are shown under 2 columns: "inc.+-" and "w/o +-"
Can anyone tell me what they mean? Which ones will the schools look at?

inc +/- means that the grade was calculated with B+ being worth more than B which is worth more than B-, etc. w/o +/- means it is just A, B, C, etc. it depends on the school and what grading scale they use as to which one they look at.

The "inc +-" gpa factors in + and - grades, like A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, etc. So, roughly, an A+ is 4.3, A is 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ 3.3 and so on.
The "w/o +-" gpa just uses A, B, C, D, F grades and does not use + and - grades. So, no A-, B+, B- etc. in this grading system.
My guess is that the dental schools will look at both, that is prolly why AADSAS includes both of them. But then, maybe it depends on the school.
mine took about 6 weeks. aadsas sent out the application to schools in 3 weeks, but i didn't recieve the pink sheet with the number for 6 weeks. you can call before that to get your number though. also i applied may 19 so they did mine faster than people that applied in aug or sept. i would give them 4 to 6 weeks to send it to schools and maybe 2 months to get you the pink sheet.

i applied aug 31. it shipped yesterday
wish i applied beginning of august but i was a little woried about the dat. of course i had the time to take it again so i should have just applied, but no big deal i dont think october is to late to get your apps out there. yours should go out on time mine went out one day early 😀

i submitted mine aug 9 and i am #3959..i only just received confirmation that schools received it in the past week!
Does anyone know how long it takes infosource to show that your app. was sent. I called last week and they said that my application would be mailed by Friday. I was just wondering if anyone knew when they would update infosource. (I'll just feel better once infosource says that my app. was sent 🙂 )

Infosource is updated sporadically, and once AADSAS creates your file, it is left up to the schools to post information. Give them some time, although Infosource should reflect the date that your application was mailed out. It took a while before anything showed up, and even then AADSAS posted incorrect information (said things were sent when they weren't, etc.) and it took some time until everything was ironed out.

It depends on the school. Case was really fast in sending a reply to me, but that was back in July, while some schools waited for about a month before sending a secondary. Since schools are getting overwhelmed with applications at the current moment they might take a bit longer to respond. My hunch is that it will be around three weeks.
how impressive would it be to have an AADSAS ID of 1?

😛 Hiya folks. I'm a newbie here. Sent mine May 22. My # is between 80 and 90.
AADSAS called me this morning. Can you believe it? I am given a number for less than 4 weeks. 68XX, where XX is VERY LOW. He aslo mentioned that the volume seems to go down. So it may not take as long as 6-8 wks as they had mentioned earlier. He said they were speeding up their process too.

there was someone on this thread who submitted 9/26 with a number 60**, and someone ONE day later with a number 64**. Mine was 12 days after that, and my number was "only" 65**. So i guess only 100 people submitted in those 12 days, vs. the 400 that submitted on one day in september. i think things have calmed down considerably....
