I have taken 3 college courses from two community colleges in the summer during high school (two in 10th grade and one in 11th grade). My grade in these classes weren't high, 1 C, 1 B-, and 1 B.
These 3 courses have shown in my current school transcipt as "TR", which I have received credits for.
Do I have to sent AADSAS transcripts FROM the community colleges I have taken the course from during high school? (Btw, I really don't want to because it'll bring down my gpa of 3.4 I have tried so hard to get).

Thanks for all reply!!!

Well Bing............

Unfortunately the answer is yes, but the good thing is the AD-Com will see that and probably not even worry about it, so just to make you feel better the same thing happened to me. I took a computer class while in highschool as dual-enrollment, and it was part of my college crdits that got transferred. 😡
Being in highschool and not caring about grades (i was already accepted to college during my first week as a senior, so senioritis set in WAY early), i slacked off and got a B. In the end it didn't hurt me any, so im sure you wont be hurt too badly.

All the best.

+pissed+ +pissed+ +pissed+ (damn computer class)

Oh, thanks for your reply, luminous.
Got another quick question: Do I have to get the transcript from these community colleges to be sent to AADSAS ? (oh Boy, if yes, this could take quite a long time).

Shooting, thanks for your reply
Who is AD-Com?

I came to my current univeristy as CS major, so those pain-in-the-ass programming courses I took hurt my GPA in my freshmen year (I got 2.9 in freshemen).....
After switching to bio major in sophmore year, I got 3.5 in sophmore year, and 3.8 in junior year. (Bio is so much easier...)

Right now, GPA is my current university is 3.40. If I weigh in three courses from community college, it'll bring my gpa down to 3.30.

Scheduled to take DAT in august 8th, i'm gonna need like 20+ to be competitive......sigh

Ad-Com: Admissions Committee. 😎

Yeah you should have the transcript sent too, another massive pain i know!

You can be competitive with a 3.3 (believe me!) and 18/18 is solid dont fret!

Bingpredent,

You have to send this transcript because these courses show on your current TR. If you don't, then if adcom or application service finds out, it sure will not look good on your part.

I would not concern about this at all. Since, you took this when you were in high school, you can say that you have not thought about dentistry at that time. If these courses were not biology, physics, or chemistry then you definitely should not worry much about it.

Got a couple C, W, and even failing class does not even hinder your chance. OF course, I always advocate for aiming at those A's. I spoke from my experience, I even failed one of the English class (creative writing) TWO TIMES, I passed it the third time. ( English is my second language). Luckily, I took P/NP so it did not lower my grade. I eventually went to a community college, took another composition class and got an A to prove that I worked hard enough to improve my writing skill.

Dude, if you really realy WANT to become a dentist, then I can assure you that noone can STOP you to become one, you will get there.

In brief, I got in a good school but eventually dropped out after two years because I finally found out that dentistry is not for me. One must have dedication and passion for dentistry to become a dentist. So, my advise for you is to make sure that dentistry is the profession you really want, then everything will fall into place by itself, you will become a dentist eventually.

Good luck with everything
