Hey everybody! Hope your doing well....I see alot of people are anxious about different statuses they are currently recieving. For this reason I wanted to share a formula a few others made just last year that seemed to be farely accurate. I am posting the formula here, and for your perusal I have attached a link to this thread. By no means is this 100% accurate, but I do think it has some validity! GOOD LUCK XOXO!! :luck:

Schools not interviewed - "Received/Under Review"
Schools not interviewed - Please check back on December 1
Schools Interviewed - Invited for Interview
Schools Interviewed - Please check back on December 1

Might translate into:

Schools not interviewed - additional review [since no status changed]
Schools not interviewed - Rejection
Schools Interviewed - additional review [since no status changed]
Schools Interviewed - Acceptance

What about if you interviewed at a school, but it still lists as "Received/Under review" at the top of the list? Any idea? Lol
 
That school might have not updated their status for anyone. I've been posting on the school specific threads asking others this as well.
 
And is there nothing for "Schools Interviewed - Rejected"?

I either got all acceptances or all rejections if this formula is right lol
 
so if it says "Check back Dec 3rd" at the very bottom then its an acceptance? Does the "Check back" message ever not appear at the very bottom (only if its a rejection?)

This is what two of my schools updated to after the interview. I think its a generic, "we aren't giving out any clues" update

This is true, many schools have not updated for anyone yet. Other than that for the schools that have, this formula is pretty good tool to estimate

It looks like...I saw one thread talking about exact same thing that you mentioned.
 
One school on my portal has a "Decision Date" of August 21. What does that mean? Then it has the "received/under review" status. Does that mean they decided my fate on August 21?

Do any of you have decision dates posted?
 
couldn't check back dec 3 if you interviewed also mean waitlist?
 
It could mean anything! This is just one very plausable hypothesis that has demonstrated a strong correlation in the past...
 
So if you interviewed and it changed to "Check back Dec 3" then it is at the bottom. But you could be rejected/waitlisted/accepted. I dont see why you are most likely accepted unless thy dont reject on Dec 3...ie they only change your status if you are accepted

Pure speculation, anything could happen! Sorry to get off topic but can I ask you a question? Arent you a specialized podiatrist, or the person in your avatar at least?
 
So if I have already interviewed at the last four schools on the portal..

Example:

(PITT) Received/Under Review
(TEMPLE) Invited for Interview
(CUL) Please check back on December 3 for more information regarding
(BUFFALO) Please check back on December 3 for more information regarding

...then your saying on December 3rd it SHOULD SAY....

(PITT) Reject
(TEMPLE) Reject
(CUL) Accept 🙂
(BUFFALO) Accept

Whaat?!? That would be great! ...or is it the other way around :/
 
NO...actualy pitt and temple are apparently exceptions to the rule...I hear that Pitt and Temple (PA schools) change invited for interview to recieved/under review when successfull.....remember this is all speculation! Anything could happen, but it does get one pumped up when thinking aobut what some of these statuses mean!

You got that right. If this holds true for my UConn status, I will for sure fall out of my chair come Monday.
 
My Pitt status went from invited to interview, to received under review to just check back dec 3... Hmm
 
So what does "additional review [since no status changed]" mean? Waitlist?

What very bottom ? Every message is placed in the same spot. What the heck is this meaning ????
 
I still dont get " the bottom " any one explain this.

I had interview at usc and usc listed at the bottom among the all school lists in aadsas??? And if it says check back on dec3 then it is more likely to be acceptance ?? Is that what you guys talking about ??

All the schools are listed by alphabetical order right ? And usc is listed at the end which is at the bottom but I think everybody has usc listed at the bottom and will have check back on dec3rd thing aside..

Anyone can explain ?

Do all schools update before the date or only some? What schools is this 'formula' based on?
I need to leave SDN until Monday....this stuff is just killing me! I'm waiting on 1 school...UGH!

Im so sorry for casuing any frustration and trust me I have some schools that still just say invited for interview too. Many schools havent submitted their decisions yet. I think that schools have set AADSAS to show some kind of change at some given time. CASE accidently made that time too early for instance. Another clue I got of this, is the schools that changed back to Check back december 3rd had submitted this information to AADSAS days ago....once your status changes you can check your supplemental page, and it shows you when that school put that decison in for you! Once again Im sorry If I caused anyone frustration...

As you can see I haven't left just yet...

I haven't been invited to Columbia for an interview but my supplemental has them updating my application on the 26th and the 28th. Do you think they are narrowing down who is out and who will be invited for future interviews? Maybe I'm just over-obsessing?
My invited to interview has not changed yet for UMDNJ yet....ok just freaking out, how will I get through the next couple of days?🙁
 
Is there any truth to the alphabetical order for each group? Like, Under Review, Invited for Interview, Please check back December 3rd all being separate groups in alphabetical order?

Because my "Please check back Dec 3rd" Goes in the order MA, CT, FL which is not alphabetical like the rest, making me think that they will be different decisions if that holds true?

Lots of speculation, I know I know
 
(A) Your status for UMDNJ is the same as everyone elses...thats whats most important!

(B) It's way to hard for us to crack that columbia case. We can only play detective after an interview!

(C) Your gonna do great! I am worried sick! I have to keep studying!
 
Last update for USC NYu creighton are all after I interview...
Shoot... Does it mean that I am not accepted on Dec 3rd ??
 
Case western - invited to interview

And was placed on continuing review this morning.

Hope what the OP post is true bc for buffalo, it saids "check back at dec1" and I interviewed there

What if you have interviewed but they want to reject you on Dec 3? Wouldn't it be "Please check back..."???

I'm pretty sure NOVA is an exception to this rule... everyone's AADSAS is updated but only a small amount have the acceptance fee/prereq checklist updated on the Nova portal (which I'm 90% means acceptance).
