AAMC designated "hard" "moderate" and "easy"

does anyone know what these exactly mean, perhaps from a qualitative standpoint?

EDIT: I mean questions that are designated "hard, medium or easy"

My understanding:

All MCAT questions are 'trialed' hard/moderate/easy is allocated based upon how well the question is answered during the trial phase. Since they are hidden inside real MCAT's they are able to get a feel as to how they will measure up once implemented and can see how hard it was.
 
thanks, i was just wondering if it's similar to the "official mcat" guide which is something like

hard = 25-50
moderate = 50-70
easy = > 70

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

A designation of whether a question is "hard" or "easy" is all about how well students did on that question in the past.
