The FAP award is for this calendar year (2013).

Question: When should I apply for the FAP if I am:
Registering for the MCAT in October for a January test date and applying for the 2014 cycle.

Both now and after the first week of 2014.

Of course, applying for the FAP this late in the year may mean you won't get it for 2013 because there is a limited amount of assistance available.
