Anyone have any clue which test is more predictive of your actual score???

I'm freaking out right now because I take the test Saturday and I don't want to take it unless I can get a 509+... I took the first one on Monday, then studied the past couple days and just took the second one. I don't think two days of studying should've bumped my score eight points...

There are many internal and external factors that might contribute to your discrepant scores. Did you feel more confident on the second one than the first? Did the first one cover most of your weaknesses and the second one work to your strengths? Maybe that might explain why you have the scores that you did. Either way, it is really hard to predict your performance since there aren't many AAMC practice tests to work with. There are only 3. Have you taken the sample test? Maybe you can average them out and see where you stand. The average score may be a better indicator of how well you will perform.

Huh wow that's a big jump, esp since you said you took FL 2 close to FL 1...did you go over what you missed on FL 1? maybe it was a fluke or maybe it hit all your weak points. If what you missed on FL 1 were all content based, then perhaps you managed to brush up on that those two days in btwn and that's what bumped up your score

I hope you do well, I'm taking the test in a week and i am not sure how I feel about it. Does anyone have any insight? I scored 506, 507, 509 on NS 1, 2, and 3 respectively. I havent taken the 4th one yet, I plan to sometime this week. I also took the AAMC practice test 1 and scored a 514 and I dont want to jinx myself or anything but I felt as if that test was so much easier than any other practice test I've taken. Also I do know that next step is supposed to be harder than the actual exam, but is the aamc practice tests easier than the actual exam? I plan to take the second aamc exam in a few days as well.

Similar scores to yours @Loonj but stretched over NS1-6. Took AAMC FL1 when my NS was a 507 and got a 505. Hoping to do better on FL2 now having done all the AAMC section banks.

509 on FL2. The regression above would give me a 511 (Jeez I can't really believe it though - time to keep working through the section banks, wish I had started on them WAY sooner - test is on Friday)

I just took the AAMC practice test 2 and score 509. I scored 510 on AAMC practice test 1. Overall, I thought that FL2 was harder than FL, especially the CARS section. My BB and PS result were the same for both test, however, I went down two points on CARS and went up to points in CP. Hopefully, my real result is either 509 or 510.

4/21/18 test taker here 518 (131/127/129/131)

I actually thought AAMC FL 1 was easier than 2, and 2 was easier than 3. My scores (1,2,3) respectively were 516, 517, 518. I honestly thought i got a 500 on FL 3 and when 518 showed up i was shocked. I also thought i got a 500 on the real thing and ended up with a 518 and was so shocked.

Weird thing was i thought 1was easiest, 2 was 2nd hardest, and 3 was the hardest. The actual thing felt harder than all three of them and i did better than my average

Goes to show that for me, what i thought about the test wasn’t accurate, what was accurate was how i did on the past tests

Those are some good scores! 130 on cars! I never broke 129 and made a 127 for CARS on real thing lol. Be warned tho, i felt that CP for FL 2 was much easier than the real MCAT. My CP for the real thing felt brutal (about 3-4 full physics passages!) but i made a 131 for CP on real thing and i think the scaling was generous for the real MCAT. There’s no way i missed 3-5 questions i felt i missed at least 7-10

Honestly the PS curve for the FL are brutal. I think the curve was much more generous for the real thing cuz i made a 131 on PS but averaged about 128 for my practice tests.

Hi Everyone, I just did my first practice test AAMC test 1 and I got 484, (121 in all sections) but I have only been doing content review for two weeks. What do you think I should be doing to increase my score? My actual test is in 10 weeks. I appreciate your help! Thanks in advance 🙂

You can check the link in my signature and see how scores on practice --> real deal align. An updated version of what was linked above by pms_testosterone's link.

You should be working on content review @gerald14 NOT practice tests right now. Make a plan that gets you through the material in 4 weeks, and lets you practice for the next 6. use a set of books that you like or khan academy.
Thank you for the advice I will start doing that!

AAMC FL 2 psych/soc score conversion blew my mind- a 127 for 50/59?? I better not have to answer 58/59 correctly just for a chance at a 129 on the real MCAT...next week.
C/P seemed slightly more generous though- 130 for 51/59 raw score.
CARS wasn't fun- 125, dropped 2 from my normal range.
B/B at least seemed consistent- 128, no change there.
