If you accept a paid summer research fellowship at the school where you hold an acceptance, can you still get accepted off waitlist by another school later? In other words, would it automatically withdraw all your waitlists the day you show up in the lab?

Is the research fellowship contingent on your matriculating at the school? If not, then I don't see why it would be a problem... I mean... It's like a summer job, isn't it?

Does the fellowship consistitute matriculation? Our MSTP students (MD/PhDs) begin lab rotations the summer before med school begins and they are matriculated at that point so as to be covered legally as students. You need to ask if this fellowship constitutes matriculation in the medical school.
