Hi everyone,
Please reply with your AAMC average and your actual MCAT score on your first attempt of the exam, and the month and year that you took the MCAT. Also indicate whether you retook the exam or not afterward.
In case you want to know, here's why I'm asking:
I know that the issue of actual MCAT score vs AAMC FL average has been asked to death in a multitude of threads over the last decade. But they look at relative performance (i.e. "I did 3 points better on my MCAT than on the AAMC FL").
I'd like instead to look at some other statistics, including whether you are more likely to get a score different from your AAMC average if your AAMC average is at the extremes and some other stuff.
Obviously I can't get a true random sample, but if anyone who wishes to help me make pretty graphs while I'm waiting for my MCAT score that would be cool. I need to use MINITAB to kill some time for the next 3 weeks.
