so when you’re inputting your activities, I believe you can only say your weekly hours, and from when to when, but what if I took a big gap in the middle of that period?

I wish I could just say the start date, end date, and total hours.

For AMCAS you can enter multiple start/stop dates and the hours during each period.

Your wish has been granted! It used to be that AMCAS wanted average hours per week, but it's been some years now since they changed to a Start Date, End Date, and Total Hours and provided the option of up to four separate time frames per activity.
