Does anyone kow how long it takes for us to be able to check if we passed or failed on this years boards? Can we check online or do we have to wait fot them to mail it out

I forget how long it took for the written. I think it was 5 or 6 weeks -- so mid-September probably. You can go to your ABA Portal to see if the results are available. But the ABA will email you the same day the results are posted online to tell you to check.

I think I got my oral results about 4 weeks later. Again I saw the email and checked online.

I can't web link it because you have to login and then click on the exam dates link. You will need to know your Id number and password.

So this is not exactly easy to find on the ABA website. Definitely not the 8 weeks we were originally told about on test day. Wonder if this is accurate or an embelishment in case of test related issues. Last year they were told via email at about the 5-7 week mark. Kinda hate waiting longer since we are at the begining of the 6th week already.

Yeah i'm tired of waiting too. Been checking the ABA portal every couple days hoping to find out. usnvadoc is right it does say oct 16 for online and oct 23 for mail. What the @#%! that is considerably longer than 8 weeks. Frankly, i'm peeved that it takes more than a couple of days given that it's on a freakin computer. Computers are supposed to be fast at computing, aren't they??

They can score it quickly, but determining which questions need to be thrown out requires some statistics, handwaving, and presumably human review by qualified people.

It'll probably be earlier. For both of my exams they had the results earlier. From what other attendings have said, it is not uncommon for the ABA to embellish the dates. Probably for the same reason some other poster cited -- in case there are problems they won't get headaches.

Addendum: Just looked through my old emails. I took the exam on 8/3 (? -- it was a Monday). The ABA said they would post the results by 10/4. I got the results in the afternoon of 9/16.

So hopefully you'll get your results also in the next 1-2 weeks.

Wow - this waiting thing is getting really old...

Well, here's another "good luck" to all of us waiting. I hope the pass percentage continues the trend of increasing, otherwise...I'm screwed 🙂
