Abbreviation for Stanford Medical School?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The official name of Stanford is the Leland Stanford Junior University. Or, they call it the "farm" on campus. LOL, no one uses the "official" name, because someone might think it is a community college or "junior" college.

Is there a commonly used abbreviation for Stanford Medical School (like YMS for Yale Med)? Is it SMS, SUMS, something else?

Thanks, everyone.

For the students and those who work more on the education side of things, it is SMS. Some students will do things like put down SMS3 to mean that they are third year or alternatively SMS14 to mean started in 2014. This isn't really used much by the administration or faculty.

SUMC is sometimes used for Stanford University Medical Center (which would be the main complex of hospitals on campus). However, the administration is trying to encourage use of "Stanford Medicine" to refer to the hospitals, the med school, the research labs, and the big outpatient clinic network. So you'll see that phrase a lot now on official headers and the like.
