Abbreviations

There are a lot of abbreviations being used in this forum, so I was wondering, can anyone name them? 😛

BUMP = bring up my post.

LOR = Letter of Recommendation

EC = extracurricular

SMP = special master's programs (the type that allow you to take first year med school classes)

For school abreviations like MCW, etc. you would have to ask individually the poster that used that abbreviation.

Those are the only ones I can think of.

i once had an english teacher who abbreviated everything. the problem was, her abbreviations didn't make any sense. they went like this:

wht. is wrng. wth. abbreviatng. everythng. by droppng one lttr?

soccer for her was socor
building was buildng
established was estblshed

it made me want to vomit.
