Yowza
Took it yesterday. Now I find myself focusing on everything I missed!
Its one thing to know alot of facts. But fatigue is a big issue for me...
How is everyone else's experiences?

I hope I pass. Thats all I know.

Ah, okay then.

I thought the written was ridiculous, myself. I was asked questions about the long-term significance of lupus biomarkers (no joke) and various other things not at all related to EM.

They're just getting ahead of the curve. Lupus is going to be next year's Fibro, and if all you know about lupus is that it happens in young black women, then they'll exploit that and take your Dilaudid all the way to the bank, man. Gotta make sure you're on this stuff.

Maybe, but I never order, and never see a biomarker. Little use in testing me on some journal article about its long-term significance.

I took it yesterday too. It sucked. Crossing my fingers I'll pass. Allegedly we can see our scores online before we get them on ABEM's site under the MOC area. I haven't found how to log into this special area. I've tried three different computers including a MAC and a PC still no dice. I also called up ABEM to ask them and allegedly it the next few weeks we will have the option to log into the MOC area and view our exam scores. I truly hope we can. The wait is going to be killer. I scored good on the inservice but this test was a different beast.

Hmm. So nobody knows how to get onto MOC and see examination results? I know it exists but having a hard time finding it. Saw it on other threads.

hey there...been on a VERY VERY VERY long hiatus.....some of you may remmeber me....but just took EM boards..uhhh that was HARD....

Agree with the above. Lots of random factoids about stuff that mostly doesn't matter in the ED.

Bleh. Hope I don't have to do it again!

Yea, I took it on the 11th. I felt like I was taking an IM board exam at one point. I'm trying not to think about it and just praying that I passed.
Ive been praying daily.......i hate waiting....buttttt...we all will be Board eligible till 2020 ( 5 yrs from 2015) if u gradauated from residency this year, which is what is required to work as an attending at most places

The link is up but there are no exam scores.... I am expecting this to happen in the next one to two weeks.
That damn test.

I remember the ABEM folks telling me it would be "within 90 days". What most people heard was "90 days from now, the scores will be released. They were on the website about a month after.
so u really think dec 11 or so the scores will be posted...

Was out of town the last few days. Now the ABEM website/phone number seems to be down... :-(

Can't check my score and it's killing me. Anybody else able to access the website or have any suggestions? Thanks.

I got an email saying that ABEM's website is down for the time being. Here's the email I received:

A significant ice storm on Sunday, December 22 caused power and communication outages with the ABEM headquarters. These disruptions are continuing while the utility companies actively work on restoring dependable service. Please be advised that intermittent disruptions are possible during the next several days. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered in trying to reach our office or website services.
