For those who took the 2015 ABEM qualifying examination,do you know when the results are expected to be posted? I know they said it takes 90 days for the results to be released but was interested to know if someone heard anything different.

I heard last year they posted around mid Dec.

Bumping this thread. Is there a way to preview the software used in the written exam, similar to how we could use it for the STEP's? Also, I haven't found any information on ABEM's website about the timing of the test day. Is it a series of question blocks, about one hour in duration each, and then make our own breaks? (Again, similar to the STEP's)

You can apparently pay an extra fee to go in the day before your exam and see the software.

The actual exam is two blocks of ~ 150 questions. You get a large amount of time to complete the entire test as well as a time standard for each block of questions. You have to complete the block of 150 in the pre-requisite time requirement or the test closes. You then have a block of time between the two blocks to eat lunch/take a break/etc. If you run over that time block your time automatically advances on the next block. I am always behind the time hack on standardized tests and time was absolutely not an issue for me on this exam and I have yet to hear anyone who had an issue with time.

All of this information is available on www.abem.org (though the site is not the easiest to navigate).

Yeah. Until I see my score, I am cautiously optimistic. Especially since I felt the Qualifying Exam was very random.

Cautiously optimistic as well. Not sure if this is a website error or if it's legit. There is no notification on the home page and it brings up an error when I click to see my score. In other news, I want to pop the bubbly, so please say this is real!

I will say this. If they mistakenly put a a big green check by the "Pass The Qualifying Exam" in my "Personal Access Page" that when expanded says "You Passed The Qualifying Exam" four days before Christmas, I hope they all get a load of rocks in their stockings.

Raw score

I don't think it's a raw score, as it goes up to 99, whereas there are 305 total questions. It's likely a scaled score, like say 240 on Step 1.
