They don't send an e-mail with % correct for the ABIM initial exam......
 
Hey - I'm just sharing my experience. I can only tell you that I passed, its on the website, and the email dated today at 11:58 am gives a daily detailed analysis of my percentage correct in each category and subcategory. This is true for the people I have spoken with as well. One friend has been partying since noon because the stress is over. I talked with my PD this afternoon and he had received my scores as well. So good luck I guess.

Well certainly not for all in the East coast...so dont worry people! I contacted atleast 15 in Florida and in the North east and no one has the results yet.

You know he is lying because A. His status still says resident (If he was board eligible it would have said fellow or attending and trust me, the same day I left residency I changed my status and B. The ABIM does not release percentile score etc on-line so he is just yanking our chains. The thing though is why would an adult who is also a physician want to do that??
 
The ABIM results are now available. Those whom I have spoken with and received their scores all passed. So perhaps: A) You are amongst the dumbest 10% of examinees or B) Your exams scores are available and you just are not accessing them correctly.
 
Now I am able to log in but result is not available. Below is the message (there is a strange message that i never see before).

I wanted to say congrats but I have some bad news for you. I called ABIM and they told me that the people that have "pass" on their profile already actually was an error and are among the ones whose test scores need to be recalculated. So they'll be redoing your scores and it will be released in early 2012...good luck though Dr. Winner! Party anyways, it's Halloween weekend!

Bulsh*t &#8211; you can't get correct % in every category via e-mail (I checked with someone who took the test last year). The bottom line this kid Ceasar is a big fat liar. There are no results yet!!!
Hey, kid, since you are so happy just want to know what kinda of drink did they mix for you at the bar tonight?
 
I've been patiently waiting for my results and silently following this post. Feel compelled to put in my 2 cents worth-
a) Yes i checked online, and No results are not available.
b) Called ABIM yesterday and per them 'results will be out in the next 2 weeks or so'
c) Checked with about 30 of my friends on the east coast, midwest, west coast, and NONE of them have received their results yet.
d) Checked with about 10 ppl who took exam last yr, you won't believe it but none of them remembered when they got their score, but all did say in November.
e) I've been trying to figure out why a physician/resident like 'Caeser' would waste his time posting all these posts about the 'results are out' , 'I'm the best', etc etc! Seems like the poor guy/girl has nothing better to do in life, so yes I sympathize with him/her.

have been following the thread with some interest

i will have to say this though something freeky is definite

i am getting the same error message as everyone else, with safari and firefox but i was able
to use my i phone safari browser to log in yesterday, i was directed to maintainance of cert module registration.....to play along i filled the fields out
but then the system rejected my registration, then i was able to see the results
window and it said results not available yet
well this morning even my i phone browser is getting the error message

something is going on over at ABIM servers; seems logical to me that they would lock out everybody to prevent their servers from getting overwhelmed
as the masses check the results as they are added piecemeal and then remove the access restriction one the results are posted

I have a feeling that the results will be released at 12:00 midnight! That's just an intution, thought I'll share it!🙂
 
unfortunately ,

not much any one can do except for periodically checking the abim physician login

we are totally at the mercy of abim as to when exactly the results will be posted

the front line clerical public relations folks at abim are there to pacify the masses , so we will keep getting the same line "it will be ready in 2 weeks"

the folks at abim who know what's going on , are barred from telling us by abim

but i suspect that the updates to their servers did not go well and technically we all should have had our results by now but now we got to wait for their contractors to fix the glitch; probably by this monday am , we should be hopeful that we get the results.......

by the way my wife is a board certified internist and she could not log in to her account at abim either this morning..........she got the same error message

Just checked the “Error 9991” message game continuous… just remember there is an opinion among “board-certified” physicians that this exam is a money making scheme and it does not reflect your knowledge or abilities… so regardless of how this game is going to end up, keep your heads up!:meanie::meanie::meanie::meanie::meanie:

Totally agree! I've seen the best of the best fail this exam and the worst physicians pass it, it's so random, so ir-respective of how things turn out for us tomorrow, we are all in a way winners, for being where we are today

(just trying to give myself some pep talk while waiting for the results)

Was able to log in today, but got the message 'Results not available yet'...sigh...it's going to be a long and killing wait! I need to distract myself with work!

Wait...what?

I can't find a single state that requires passing a specialty board in order to get a license.

Perhaps you can't get credentialed without it (but even the most onerous contracts won't require to pass it before starting your job). So I'm not sure what exactly what you're talking about here.

I have no idea if those of types of contracts exist but all I'm willing to say is you're thinking of the wrong country.

actually there is no limit to the types of auto destruct clauses that can be put
in by the employer ....... most of the time the applicant would agree to such clauses in the contract in lieu of getting a job

contracts allow the employer to exercise actions that would otherwise be frowned upon by otherwise fair labor standards

No results yet as well…last year I’ve heard people were getting emails such as “Important News about your ABIM Exam” around 1am (on Saturday, October 30th 2010)…so check your e-mails periodically as well…good luck…😎
 
None yet. Last year they were released starting 10/30 upto 11/10, in random waves...so yup...looks like a long wait 🙁
 
it's not about the contract, it's a licensing issue. Google Pathway 4 if curiosity compels you. Let's hope we get the results soon.

The iPhone took the Compulsive joy of checking email every five minutes, so I check every minute now.
 
no results till now.......RESULTS NOT AVAILABLE YET

I am well aware that employment contracts can include any legal thing the employer wants. And such a restrictive clause on a requirement for board certification prior to starting would be totally irrational, but likely legally enforceable (unlike most non-compete agreements which are slightly less irrational and largely unenforceable).

But they'd never get anybody to actually sign such a contract because nobody would want to work for a bunch of douchecanoes that would include such a requirement in the contract.

I think your wife is right...🙂...I also heard that last year they told people on the phone the release of the results would be mid November, the earliest.......it turned out to be at the end of October, so we will see.
