Okay, so all my transcripts are in finally...and now I am waiting for my MCAT scores to come. If i want to get verified, do I have to submit my entire application or is there a way to just verifiy the grades? The reason I ask is because I want a few more ppl to review my personal statement before I submit my app. Can i go ahead and get the grades and transcript verified, or do I need to put in my PS? And if I have to upload my PS, can I replace it, or do I have to get verified again? .... thank you so much!!

Your application will not be reviewed by accomas until you have completed the application; this includes the personal statement. 11 out of 11 steps must be completed, all transcripts must be received, and all official mcat scores must be in BEFORE they even put your application in line to be verified.

False, they will verify you before they receive your MCAT score. Complete all 11 steps, pay the fee, and send them them all transcripts. Then, once they receive all transcripts the verification process will begin.

If I remember correctly, this is correct. 😉

You can be verified without an MCAT score. However you must indicate you will be taking it in the future. If not, schools may toss your application aside. Once you get your scores from the AAMC, have the scores released by the AAMC to AACOMAS free of charge to be 100% complete. At this time schools will start noticing you.

After submitting AACOMAS, they look through all of your transcripts and make sure everything's correct. Once this is completed, you are 'verified.' Then they send your application to the schools. Becoming verified takes 3-6 weeks after submission of the application AND they have received ALL of your transcripts.

Thanks! How do I know if I have been verified? I don't remember receiving an email or anything like that. All of my items have been in since the beginning of June.

You'll get emails for secondaries (proof of verification at DO schools), but AACOMAS will NOT email you about it. Which schools did you apply to? You should be verified very soon, if not already. I'd expect secondaries in a week or so if you submitted and had all of your transcripts in during the first week of June.

Western--I haven't gotten anything yet. Seems like previous years said you get it only if you are going to interview. Dunno if that's true. I believe NYCOM does the same thing.

It now says on my aacomas homepage the date my app was sent to schools (aka when it was verified).
