about personal statement

hi,
can anybody guide me abt writting a personal statement?i don't know how much words shd be written ,the font size and wht is the pattern to write it down on page?somebody told me that there shd be 1 inch space left frm both sides of page and double spacing between each line..........!

plz guide me through this in detail.moreover,is every university has the same requirement for personal statement or there are differences for exp in words count etc

every univ has different requirements for the SOP, different questions they ask and different # of words...

you shouldn't send the same SOP to every univ, but customize your answer upon their demandings..
regarding the font, you should use a very legible one, maybe not quite the most used one, the times new roman..choose one that you like..depending the font you choose, you should use the font size, some fonts need a larger size to be legible... 1 1/2 space should be enough..i think..google statement letter and you'll find more usefull tips for a good one..
