I am going to apply to DO schools, any people have any suggestion?

Just keep an open mind, lealf-ye, and your first and foremost goal should be how you can be a better physician rather than being stuck on the distinguishing of the degrees: D.O and M.D. Ofcourse first step is to get accepted in a medical school. What a torture this application process is!

I have been here for many years now and have read thousands of posts. I can't figure out why you put that quote in your original post.

Wow, you've been here for as long as I have. Anyways, the quote in question was actually made by me. I was responding to a PM by leaf asking me if there was freedom of speech in this forum. Hope that explains everything. 😉

Wow another SDNer from 2000. I took a year off and didn't post or read anything on SDN. Had to sort out questions about what I wanted to do when I grew up. But I'm back. and am here to stay for awhile as a pre-meder and hopefully a med student in 2004.

1) You need to learn where freedom of speech applies to. It does not apply to a privately-operated, non-government forum.

2) People flaming you in a internet forum is nowhere near a moral or human rights violation. I am sorry that you think it is, but it's simply not so.

3) If you have done a search of the subject in the past, then you should know how people have responded before. Therefore, you should accept/expect people to respond to you similarly. You have been given the same range of answers that you've probably seen through your search, you have probably learned nothing new. The only reason to continue your thread is to draw negative attention to yourself.

4) If you are truly interested in osteopathic medicine, well, you have just alienated some people who are interested as well, and probably could have helped you. You should be more careful in framing your questions, and your responses.
